In residential house and apartment design, CHAI applies the central philosophy of space, light, volume, and ventilation to create a peaceful and harmonious living environment for individuals with sensual experience of a building, house or apartment.  The design process involves a high level of creativity with form follows function, focussing on the goals of clients and maximising potentials and best use of the site.  It is also a reflection of a particular environment, social, economic and incorporates technological influences of the time responding to local context.
